Welsh coal mines. Penallta Colliery (2009/6)

This is Penallta Colliery viewed from the Penybryn side and shows the colliery as it stands today - Feb' 2009. The colliery baths is on the right and Blacksmiths buildings on the left. Just visible in the distance is Cefn-Hengoed where I lived for 20 years. The two Blacksmiths buildings on the left have certainly had new roofs as will the winding house on the far side. Some 600 plus houses are being built on the other side and quite a few of those are completed. I'm not sure what's happening to the baths but from what I gather the buildings you see here are being put to use.
