'Looking towards Pontlottyn and Rhymney' by Welsh artist Gwynfor Roberts - 2007 / 1
oil on canvas - 23 " x 44"

This is a huge view to paint and I have attempted to record it as faithfully as possible. It covers Pontlottyn in the foreground leading on to Rhymney and Bute Town. In the distance and on the right is just visible the Sugar Loaf mountain, Abergavenny.
Lots of people ask if I use a pencil to draw the landscape before painting. The answer to this is simply no, it's all patiently done with brush work.

Prints are available, size 1 and 10.
