This small painting shows the lane at Cwmdu Farm, Maesycwmmer. I've painted this lane a number of times which is something I don't normally do.

The scene has altered a little, one of the old buildings has been demolished and the other barn has been bought by local people and converted into living quarters. The original owners of Cwmdu are no longer there although the main farm buildings still remain. In years gone by members of the Bargoed art society would have spent the evening sketching at Cwmdu, Mrs Edwards (Farm owner) was then secretary of the society.
