This painting came about on the 21 Aug 2007 through a sketching evening with the art society. I drove along the mountain road from Nelson to Senghenydd and found this little view and settled there for the evening. The road winds down into Senghenydd on the left whilst the former colliery tip is visible on the mountain top.
