Valley Line service between Cardiff Central and Rhymney

Here we are on the platform that will take us North to Bargoed and Rhymney with the train arriving coming from Pengam. As you can see this station has short platforms, trains stop here 1 in every 4 - when I was there the train passed through. There is talk of a new station at Bargoed, closer to the town center. I am wondering if the existing Bargoed station and this station will close - time will tell.
