Darren Park is situated in the Darren Valley and is on the site of the former Darren Colliery which was sunk in 1868. The sketch shows a view of the lake at the park which is a popular attraction with its tourist centre, camp site and childrens adventure playground. Continuing down the valley will bring you to Deri and Bargoed.
