Darren Park is situated in the Darren Valley and is on the site of the former Darren Colliery which was sunk in 1868.
This painting shows the Tourist centre at the park which is a popular attraction with holiday seekers. There is a camp site and childrens adventure playground along with the lake. A short drive or walk North takes you to Pentwyn and Fochriw whilst South brings you to Deri.
