This oil painting shows the cycle track with the viewer looking West towards Nelson. It is taken from a sketch of mine, done in 2003 though today the trees are so abundant, the small lakes in the distance are no longer visible. This area is the site of the former 'Nelson bog' - a dumping ground for Penallta colliery.
