This oil painting shows a grey and overcast day, rain and low cloud when I was there in 2013. It captures Blaenau Ffestiniog railway station with The Ffestiniog Railway Train - Southern Number 190 - carrying out a little maintainance and taking on water before the return journey to Porthmadog. The tourists were out of their carriages taking in the surroundings - pity it wasn't a sunny day, the slate mountains and views are spectacular. Lucky for me, this was the scene when I arrived on a rather wet day.
