It's January 2008, two years after completing this painting and the household name of F.W.Woolworths which you can see on the right of this painting has disappeared from the High Street - a casualty of the 2008 worldwide credit crunch. We were all brought up with Woolworth in Blackwood, Bargoed, Caerphilly and all the other towns, still life goes on as will all the new shopping developments!
