Oil on canvas - 12x16 inches (30.5x40.6 cm).
This is the South view of Bargoed station with the train just leaving for Cardiff. The old road bridge just visible has now been replaced with a tunnel/bridge and new road layout. Behind the viewer, the two tracks converge to a single line which takes every 1 in 4 trains North to Rhymney. And still in use today is Bargoed Viaduct, just 100 metres North of here. The towns High Street is on the right, over the road bridge
