Hanbury road - High Street, Bargoed, (2010/3)

This watercolour shows traffic coming down Hanbury Road towards High Street where the viewer is standing. The building on our left - a former funiture store - is vacant which is typical of our towns these days. And for a Saturday afternoon even the number of people shown are in small numbers, which is what it was when I took details. When I was a kid, Bargoed was a hive of activity and the main town for our family - all our shopping was done here.
