This painting shows the viewer looking South from Bargoed mountain. Cefn-hengoed is seen to the left and the road seen coming from the left brings you from Bargoed and takes you pass the cottages shown and down to Gelligaer. The road coming towards us on the right takes you on to Fochriw.
