The viewer here is standing just alongside Heolddu School which is on the right. The Northern part of Deri is just visible through the Darren valley. One of the greens at Bargoed golf club is shown on the right.

The sketches to produce the oil painting are below. I tend to revisit the site a number of time to check my details, the most being 15/16 occasions for the 'Looking towards new Tredegar' oil painting.
